Nami is Kaya's daughter from her second litted. We named Nami (Wave in Japanese) the day she was born to honour the home where her mother was born. Akanami Shibas. Little did we know at the time that she was going to turn out to be a "keeper"
She has got ATTITUDE!!!! and we cannot wait to see how this little spitfire develops. Nami lives with her family in Halifax and is absolutely spoiled (as she deserves)
Nami is fearless, and likes to be in control. She is always full of love and kisses, and makes everyone feel welcome.

Nami made her public debut at a Puppy Fun Match on January 15/11 where she went home with  Best in Match!! Nami is co-owned and lived with Sue Beattie of Akanami Shibas while she finished her Canadian championship. Nami finished her title in fine style with a Group 2. Thanks Sue for all the hard work and time you put into Nami's show career.

Kaya is our first Shiba and came to us from Sue Beattie of Akanami Shibas in Fredericton, NB. At the time we were just looking for a wonderful family pet, boy how things change... we did get a wonderful addition to our family, Kaya is a sweet girl, and loves nothing more than to give kisses to children, but we also ended up in the show ring rather unintentionally!

We had a rocky first year in the show ring, as Kaya made it abundently clear that she wanted nothing to do with it. Our few trips into the ring were highlighted by Shiba fits, and spending more time on her back than on her feet in the ring. We hit the ring running after taking a winter off, and as it turns out, Kaya doesn't dislike showing as much as she let on. We had a wonderful 2008 with multiple groups placements.

Kaya has provided us with 2 beautiful litters, that produced our Nami, and Cohen. She is now retired from the show ring and the whelping box, and is our loved couch potato.

Darcie blew into the house like a tornado in early June and has made her presence known everywhere she goes. She is a constant pest to the other dogs, and likes to have everything her way.
She hit the show ring like she takes on  everything in life, head on and full of attitude. Darcie finished her Canadian title with ease, with just 2 weekends out. Stateside she's gone breed over specials and only needs 2 points to finish her title there.
In early 2015 Darcie picked up Best of Winners at the Westminster Kennel Club in NYC.
Many thanks to Lisa at HiTorq for sending us this lovely girl.
